Benidorm's Most Beautiful Beaches
Playa Levante - The Most Famous and Liveliest!
The golden beaches are Benidorm's pride and joy and one of the city's biggest attractions. All the beaches have been awarded the Blue Flag.
Playa Levante is undoubtedly Benidorm's most famous beach, and perhaps even one of the most famous in Europe! Playa Levante stretches 2 km along the coast, from Rincon de Loix to Benidorm's historic center. Along the beach lies the charming Avenida de Madrid promenade, lined with shops, terraces, and restaurants. This combination makes Playa Levante a magnet for tourists from all over the world.
On Playa Levante, there are 10 different sectors where you can rent beach chairs and parasols. According to figures from the Benidorm Tourist Office, the beach has no fewer than 4,570 sunbeds. Renting a beach chair is not required. You can also bring your own chair, towel or umbrella if you find that more convenient.

Facilities for all ages!
Want to enjoy more than just sun, sea, and sand? Then take advantage of the various other facilities at Playa Levante! For families with children, there are various climbing frames, and for those who want to combine a relaxing day with an active workout, there are some fitness machines.

Safety first
The municipality of Benidorm is committed to ensuring the safety of beachgoers. Lifeguard towers are located at various points on the beach. There are also several mobile patrols on the beach. From Easter to October, there are two medical stations, and safety flags at six locations on Playa Levante indicate when the sea is calm enough for swimming.
Before entering the water, always check the beach signs and flags:
🔴 Red: Swimming prohibited
🟡 Yellow: Caution advised
🟢 Green: Ideal swimming conditions

Did you know…?
Playa Levante is also accessible for people with limited mobility. Wooden walkways provide easy access to the beach from the promenade in several places. There are also accessible toilets and a changing room. During the summer months, these facilities are always staffed by people trained to assist people with disabilities. For example, there is a special wheelchair available to help people with disabilities swim. These facilities can be found in the areas marked with "Accessible Beach" signs, including near Avenida de Murcia. There, you'll also find a parking area with facilities for people with disabilities.
