Marco Polo - Excursions at sea
For all kinds of excursions we work together with Marco Polo Expediciones, a renowned organization that offers a wide range of excursions in Benidorm and the surrounding area. Below is an overview of excursions on the water. If you want to book an excursion, please contact our reception.
Snorkeling
Discover Benidorm underwater and discover the Mediterranean flora and fauna during this snorkeling excursion. Never snorkeled before? No problem! The instructors will explain how to use the mask and snorkel (incl.). Costs of this snorkeling excursion are €40,- p.p. (subject to change). Ask the reception for dates and times why the excursion is available.
Sailing Altea Bay
From the fishing port of Altea you can board the 8-meter sailing yacht "Tucana 28" for a beautiful trip through the bay of Altea. There is room for up to 7 people. You will learn the basics of sailing and enjoy the beautiful views of Altea and the Sierra Helada nature park along the way. Prices vary per season. Half-day and full-day options.
Diving
Discover the underwater world during a dive with an instructor (multilingual) and enjoy a completely different side of Benidorm! Incl. diving equipment, briefing, 30 min. dive at 7-8 meters, 1 instructor per 2 persons. Price €90 p.p. adults. Possible every day in consultation. Inquire about availability. Certified divers are also very welcome on this excursion.
Sea Kayak
Sail along the 2 km long Playa Levante towards the foothills of the Sierra Helada. You sail along beautiful bays, including Tio Ximo and the Almadraba bay. In between lies the Cueva del Barbero, a great place to snorkel! You can also opt for a kayak excursion to an island. You then sail 2 nautical miles on open water. good swimming level is required. Departure: Benidorm Sailing Club.
Coasteering
After you have been picked up, you will set off with other participants for an adventurous route along the coast. You will climb over rocks, walk through water and go swimming. No special condition is required. It is useful to bring spare shoes and a towel. Wetsuit, life jacket and helmet are included. The tour lasts approximately 4 hours. Dates on request. Costs: €53,- p.p. Not suitable for children.
Sea fishing
Depending on the season, you can go sea fishing by dragging the gear behind the boat or deep sea fishing from the boat. You can book a boat exclusively for your group or choose a per person option. The boat leaves from the port of Altea. You can also go to Altea for free with a Marco Polo bike or be picked up at the Marco Polo office. Costs: €91,- p.p. incl. bait and rods. Duration: 3 hours.
Catamaran trip
Get on board a catamaran and enjoy the beautiful coast. The trip goes through the nature reserve of the Sierra Helada. Dolphins are also spotted here with some regularity. During the catamaran trip, the boat is also anchored and you can discover the underwater world while snorkeling. The trip with the catamaran takes about 3.5 hours and includes paella and 1 drink. Departure from Altea or Calpe. Inquire about the possibilities and prices.
Catamaran Tabarca
Sail from the port of Alicante to the island of Tabarca, the smallest inhabited island in Spain. The island has a long history. The Phoenicians, Romans and Arabs have left their mark here. On the way, the catamaran will be anchored and you can admire the underwater world if you wish, while the meal is prepared on board (incl.). The trip lasts 6 hours. Incl. food, 2 non-alcoholic drinks and free mask & snorkels.
Other excursions
In addition to the above excursions, we can also book other excursions via Marco Polo, both on the water, on land and in the air.
