Rules for traveling to Spain

Based on current Spanish legislation, all tourists who wish to stay in accommodation in Spain are required to register. As a traveller, you must share more personal information with the authorities. Previously, a copy of your passport was sufficient. We no longer make a copy of your passport at the check-in. Instead, you must provide certain information to the Spanish authorities before arrival.

In connection with this, you will receive an email from us a few weeks before your arrival at Siroco-Gemelos 22 with a link to the form that you must complete.

PLEASE NOTE: you must complete the form per guest. So, for example, if you come with 4 people, you must register the information for all 4 people.

The form is available in Spanish and English. Just select the language you prefer.

We guarantee that we work in accordance with the guidelines as set by the Spanish government. The data is stored by the Spanish government in a secure system and is intended to identify potential risks and combat crime, such as money laundering or terrorism. The information is kept for up to five years, after which it is deleted.

As a traveller, you are legally obliged to cooperate with the procedure. If you have any questions about this, you can always contact us.

Background information

In October 2021, the Ministry of the Interior in Spain published new requirements regarding mandatory documentation of the information to be provided for tourist services. The Spanish government attaches great importance to this knowledge in order to have the best possible insight into who is entering and leaving the country. This is in the interest of general safety and to combat crime.

With the stricter rules, the government also wants to combat the black circuit in the tourism sector. Because payments and passports must be registered, people can keep a better feel for suspicious (financial) transactions and by sharing personal data, the government has a better view of which people are staying in the country.
