During this excursion by bus to Valencia you will visit the "Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias", The City of Arts and Sciences is really a must if you go to Valencia. It was designed by the Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava and the various iconic buildings have become true icons of the city. A guide will provide further explanation about the origins of the City of Arts & Sciences and can also tell you more about what happened to the adjacent river Turia.

After visiting the City of Arts and Sciences, you have three options:

• Continue by bus for a panoramic tour of the historic centre of Valencia. During the tour, a guide will tell you more about the city, after which you will receive a map with a recommended route and you can explore the city on your own.
• Book a guided walk through the city for €6 and discover the most important monuments of the city. You will receive headphones for the guide's explanation. Then you will have free time for lunch and to go into the city yourself or to go shopping.
• Stay in the City of Arts and Sciences and visit one of the museums here. The guide can tell you more about the different options and can help you with entrance tickets and possible discounts for various buildings. The City of Arts and Sciences is home to the following museums:
  • Oceanogràfic, the largest aquarium in Europe. Here you can discover some 500 different marine animals from all over the world's oceans. You'll see dolphins, sharks, whales, penguins, and more, as well as magnificent coral reefs. A visit to the Oceanogràfic offers a unique insight into our ecosystem and the environmental issues that are driving certain marine animals toward extinction.
  • Hemisfèric, a digital 3D cinema with a huge IMAX screen. Various films of approximately 45 minutes are shown daily, suitable for all ages. At the entrance, you'll receive innovative 3D glasses that also allow you to change the language of the projection.
  • Museo de las Ciencias, the science museum. The motto of this museum: "No touching allowed." Here you can learn more about science and technology in an interactive way.
  • Palau Les Arts, the music building. When there are no performances, you can visit the building from the inside. Reservations must be made in advance via the building's website.
